MONARCH® 4750

FDA regulation 21CFR 178.3297 Colorants for Polymers has been amended to allow the use of high-purity furnace blacks. Cabot's MONARCH® 4750 carbon black is now compliant with this amended regu-lation. This carbon black may by used at up to 2.5% loading to make articles intended for use in producing, manufacturing, processing, preparing, treating, packaging, transporting or holding food under all temperatures. MONARCH 4750 carbon black is a grade with higher jetness (blackness) and blue tone than competitive channel blacks. It also surpasses channel blacks in terms of dispersibility and quality.
