CAB-O-SIL® MS-35 is a medium-high surface area fumed silica which imparts significant increase in viscosity in liquid systems, provides good reinforcement of rubber and has high adsorptive capacity for inks in microporous coatings for inkjet media.

MS-35 is characterized by:

Application Information:

Rheology Control for Coatings, Adhesives and other Liquid Systems:

CAB-O-SIL MS-35 is used to provide thickening, thixotropic (shear-thinning) and anti-settling behavior in liquid systems. CAB-O-SIL MS-35 is most efficient in non-polar to medium polarity systems. For more polar systems, treated fumed silicas are more effective. CAB-O-SIL MS-35 offers good balance between thickening efficiency and dispersibility.

Reinforcement of Silicone and Organic Rubber:

CAB-O-SIL MS-35 is commonly used for reinforcement of silicone rubber and can be used to reinforce organic rubbers. It imparts good increase in hardness, tensile and elongation.
