CAB-O-SIL® H-300 is a high surface area fumed silica which imparts significant increase in viscosity in liquid systems and in reinforcement of sealants and rubbers.

Application Information:

Rheology Control for Coatings, Adhesives and other Liquid Systems:

CAB-O-SIL H-300 is used to provide thickening, thixotropic (shear-thinning) and anti-settling behavior in liquid systems. High shear dispersion equipment is required to realize the full benefits of H-300. For clear coatings and other systems, very well dispersed H-300 provides good transparency.

CAB-O-SIL H-300 is most efficient in non-polar to medium polarity systems. For more polar systems, treated fumed silicas are more effective.

Reinforcement of Silicone and Organic Rubber:

CAB-O-SIL H-300 can be used for reinforcement of silicone rubber and can be used to reinforce organic rubbers. It imparts good increase in hardness, tensile and elongation.
