CAB-O-SIL® TS-382D, the densed form of TS-382, is a medium surface area fumed silica which has been surface treated with octyltrimethoxysilane. The bulk density has been mechanically increased for faster incorporation and ease of handling.

TS-382D is characterized by:

  • High purity
  • Aggregate structure
  • Submicron particle size
  • Low bulk density
  • Hydrophobic surface chemistry

Application Information:

CAB-O-SIL TS-382D provides stable rheology control in medium to high polarity adhesives, sealants, coatings and resins for composites and tooling.

With its higher bulk density, TS-382D is faster to incorporate but more difficult to disperse. To achieve the full performance benefits of TS-382D, high shear dispersion equipment is required.
