Abstract:
Cabot has developed a series of moderately high surface area carbons which have equivalent durability towards electrochemical oxidation as traditionally graphitized carbons and commercial high surface area graphites. Unlike traditionally graphitized carbons, Cabot's carbons do not suffer from high levels of hydrophobic character which can create problems with active phase dispersion and ink formulations.
