Cabot produces custom masterbatches to polymer producers' specifications. The raw materials used in these custom formulations, which are managed confidentially, can be provided by Cabot or are the customers' own materials. These products are compounded at the polymer producers' facilities and used by the pipe, cable, automotive, fibre, packaging and transportation markets.

The main base polymers are polyolefins and styrenics, but engineering polymers such as PA, PC and PET are also transformed into customer formulations. Cabot's current customers are situated in five continents of the world.
