Cabot's carbon black products provide pigmentation in electrophotographic applications. These products are the industry standard black pigments for dual component & non-magnetic mono-component toners and are often used in magnetic toners to boost image densities or tune toner electrical properties.
Cabot also develops specialty additives for toners to help toner formulators meet the performance challenges presented by increasingly smaller toner particle size, faster printing speed, and low Tg polymers. Cabot's CAB-O-SIL® and SpectrAl® TG specialty additives utilize unique, proprietary technology to create products for toners which provide:
- Free-flow,
- Anti-blocking,
- Spacing,
- Tribocharging.
Silicas and Aluminas
Cabot's fumed aluminas help toner formulators to meet the performance challenges.
