Often used as the "par" in treadwear testing against newer grades, VULCAN 6 imparts good wear resistance to all tire tread rubbers and is also an exceptionally easy grade to disperse and extrude. VULCAN 6 is also recommended for conveyor belts, solid tires, and other products requiring excellent abrasion resistance.

The most cost effective carbon black to use when greater treadwear than a standard N220 is needed. VULCAN 7H imparts excellent wear resistance to all tire tread rubbers and gives better wear than even the more costly N110. It's also a high structure carbon black that disperses well and gives moderately high modulus while imparting excellent extrusion characteristics to rubber compounds.

VULCAN® 9 N115 carbon black conforms to ASTM N115. It imparts good wear resistance to all tire tread rubbers. Vulcan 9 N115, because of its high surface area and low structure, requires care to obtain optimum dispersion.

A carbon black that is a lower structure version of VULCAN M imporating good wear resistance to all tire tread rubbers. It is particularly suited for tire treads that require good wear resistance with improved cut/chip resistance. VULCAN J is also recommended for conveyor belts, solid tires, and other products requiring good abrasion resistance with good cut/chip resistance.
